MuseScore: sheet music App Reviews

I am very satisfied, but...

I am very satisfied with the app, but there is one thing that I want on the app. I want the app to be more like the browser version, you know, having the Dashboard when the app opens, actually being able to see what people have commented on your score and not just look at it. Because the way the app is right now, its kind of lame, which is why I am only giving 3 stars. Please release an update that makes this app more like the MuseScore on a browser.

Good, But rather expensive...

The app is simple, elegant, and intuitive. However, for $6 I would expect a little more, perhaps the ability to edit scores or open other formats.

Great app

I thought getting this app was pointless since there was a free one. Well I thought wrong! Its an amazing app that lets me play saved songs while offline and songs saved on my Dropbox by opening the mscz file with musescore

Download this app now!

Love it!

Excellent! I Use it Daily to Learn Choral Vocals

I only wish (1) that it could use iTunes so You could copy more than one song at a time to your iPhone or iPad, and (2) that there was a short manual so you could quickly learn what the app does and does not do.

Critical problems make Songbook unusable

I so wanted to like this app since it is the first program that has the ease of use of the abandoned Easy Beat Mac app and works on the iPad as well. However, there are several issues that make it unusable for me as I try to use it to practice playing the lead part: 1. When I select concert pitch so I can play the lead part, it works fine on the Mac and on-line with the web page view. However, when I open the song in Songbook, the notes are shown in the original instrument pitch even though the key signature changes as if it is concert pitch. This is completely wrong and must be an obvious bug. 2. Continuous View on the Mac changes to the next screen just before the play point reaches the end so I can always see the next notes to play. I wish Page View did this since it would be the much preferred way to play. Since there is no Continuous View on the iPad, I must use Page View which is very difficult due to this problem. 3. Although it does not make usage impossible, the lack of multiple file transfer from the Mac to the iPad slows down the process tremendously. Rather than transfer one file at a time from Dropbox, it would be much faster to transfer all of them at once using the app box in iTunes as most other programs do. The bad news is that I will have to limp along with the Mac version rather than using my iPad even though the iPad seems to have better instrument sounds. The good news is that each of these problems seem very easy to fix so I’m still hoping that they will be added soon along with better sounds (perhaps through midi or inter-app communication). I’m looking forward to giving a 5 star review when that happens!

Great!!

I thought it was a great!! It was really cool when you could play the score you just wrote and you could listen to other peoples scores.

Great so far

Very helpful for getting my music together. Would be great if I could edit it.

Great App

Great app with lots of hardworking people. Tons of good sheet music.

Its great!

Very useful ap

Great, but just one thing

My only complaint about this is that it doesnt have the ability to play with the muse score 2.0 sound front if a score was uploaded on the website with it. Other than that, it works phenomenally well!!

Great App

As a piano player, this app has helped me so much in learning how to read music and play the music to the right tempo. The free app is great as well, but the $6 one is also great since it saves the songs you want, and you can play it wherever without wasting your cell phone data. Overall, I love this app; 5 stars
